With Talkspace, you can get mental health care - with or without insurance. We set out to make the process convenient, accessible, and affordable so you can connect with a mental health care provider quickly.
We accept payment through major U.S. health plan, employer coverage, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), or out-of-pocket with a credit or debit card.
With these ways to pay for therapy, you’re just a few clicks away from getting started on your path towards healing. To receive a pricing quote, sign up for an account with us today.
Depending on your insurance provider, plan, coverage, and deductible, the cost of therapy can vary. To see if you're in-network for psychotherapy or psychiatric care before you sign up, contact your benefits department or call the member services number on the back of your health plan card. Discover more about the average costs per plan type at Talkspace here.
Your health plan may cover prescribed medication, but keep in mind that specific questions about your eligibility, benefits, or prescription costs must be directed to your health plan provider.
Remember that even with insurance, you’re still responsible for covering any copayment or coinsurance due (cost-share). These charges can be conveniently paid through our platform, and the cost of therapy will differ depending on your type of coverage and plan.
Talkspace does not accept Medicare or Medicaid, but members can save significantly if they prepay for a quarterly or biannual plan. Explore more about our out-of-pocket costs here.
Please note, Talkspace does not have access to your individual insurance benefits information and we will not be able to confirm your final costs before a claim processes. Your patient responsibility (cost-share) can be confirmed with your health plan.
This incentive has ultimately resulted in more employers offering health care plans that include mental health coverage. Talkspace has partnered with hundreds of employers and organizations across the country, eliminating a huge part of the barrier to access so many people faced in the past. If you want to know if your employer offers covered online therapy through Talkspace, reach out to your company’s HR department.
If your EAP covers mental health care, you can get started after a brief assessment that takes less than two minutes to complete. You’ll be matched with a provider and can begin therapy, often in a matter of days.
Some Talkspace clients use a credit or debit card for their subscription and then submit the bill to their Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Saving Account (HSA) plan administrator and receive 50-90% of the cost of Talkspace back.
Check in with your FSA/HSA provider to confirm what information they need to accept the bill. How can I receive an invoice (superbill) for services? will guide you through how to request an invoice from Talkspace.
You may also submit a superbill to your insurance, and be partially or fully reimbursed. This option can be especially beneficial if your provider isn’t a Talkspace partner.
