How do I pause my subscription?

Clients can pause their Talkspace subscription for a 7-day period, at any time. We recommend temporarily pausing your subscription if you will not be able to use our services for a short period of time or if your provider is going on vacation.

Please note, if you receive our services through your employee or medical plan benefits, your plan is not impacted by pausing since you may have limited authorization windows or are only charged for sessions you authorized within your room.

If you have a self-paying therapy subscription, your billing date will extend by the number of days your subscription is paused—that way, you won't lose time with your provider and won’t be paying for any unused time.

Keep in mind that this pause will end automatically, so it's a good idea to set a reminder for yourself to check back in if you need to extend.

Follow the steps below to place your subscription on a 7-day hold:

  1. Log into your account at www.talkspace.com.
  2. Click on Account (Account Icon.png) located on the top-right corner of the screen.
  3. Click on Payment and plan.
  4. Locate the plan you want to put on hold and click Pause therapy.
  5. Review the pause and resume dates, then click Pause therapy to complete the process.
