Areas of Expertise: What do your providers specialize in and what do they diagnose?

We have thousands of licensed providers ready to assist with a wide range of mental health needs. Many of our providers are trained in multiple areas of expertise. For information on common types of licenses held by Talkspace's providers, please refer to What do MS, RMHCI, LICSW, LMHC, LPC… letters by the name of providers mean?

Here are some areas of specialization and diagnosis within our clinical network:

 Anxiety & Stress LGBTQIA+  Grief & Trauma
Addiction Chemical dependence Anger Management
Depression Chronic Illness Parenting
Eating Disorders Childhood Abuse Mood disorders
Bipolar Social Anxiety Insomnia
Panic Disorder
Relationships (Family, Friends)   Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

At this time, Talkspace cannot provide assistance for conditions such as psychosis, hallucinations, and active addiction requiring detox or higher levels of care. If you’re in early recovery and need detox, Talkspace might not be the right fit for you. However, once you’re stable and sober, you may become eligible for continued care with us, provided you don’t need controlled substances.

Additionally, assessing for autism typically requires extensive evaluations by a specialist. While you can discuss your symptoms with a Talkspace provider and explore potential medication options, it's important to note that you should reach out to your primary care provider for further assistance and/or a referral to a specialist.
