How Do I Apply to Be a Talkspace Provider?

Talkspace partners with licensed therapists, counselors, and psychiatric providers across the United States. At this time, providers must reside in the US as international positions are not available.

Interested in joining our team? Visit the pages below for details on roles, eligibility, and current openings.

Applying as a therapist or counselor

You can join our team as either a National Practice Provider (NPP) or a contract therapist:

  • National Practice Providers (NPPs) are full-time, W-2 employees with benefits like health insurance, paid time off (PTO), and 401(k) eligibility. NPPs work a 40-hour week over five days, follow a traditional supervisory structure, and are part of a clinician community within Talkspace. NPP positions open occasionally.
  • Contract therapists are independent providers who manage their own caseloads. We recommend having flexibility to check in with each client 2–3 times daily, five days a week.

Applying as a psychiatric provider

Psychiatric providers are licensed psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNPs) who work as contractors. You can choose the size of your caseload, meet with patients virtually, review labs, and e-prescribe medications.

What happens after I apply?

Once your application is submitted, the Talkspace team will follow up with next steps. Additional support—including onboarding trainings, the Provider Help Center, and the Provider Support team—is available as you begin providing services on the platform.
