How Do I Apply to Be a Talkspace Provider?

To join Talkspace as a provider, you can apply for different roles based on your professional background and interests. If you have questions at any point, contact us at applicants@talkspace.com.

NOTE: All applicants must reside in the United States, as international positions are not available.

Applying as a therapist or counselor

If you are a therapist or counselor, you can join Talkspace as either a National Practice Provider (NPP) or a contract therapist:

  • National Practice Providers (NPPs) are full-time, W-2 employees with benefits like health insurance, paid time off (PTO), and 401(k) eligibility. NPPs work a 40-hour week over five days, follow a traditional supervisory structure, and are part of a clinician community within Talkspace. NPP positions open occasionally.
  • Contract therapists are independent providers who manage their own caseloads. We recommend having flexibility to check in with each client 2–3 times daily, five days a week.

Applying as a psychiatric provider

Psychiatric providers are licensed psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNPs) who work as contractors. You can choose the size of your caseload, meet with patients virtually, review labs, and e-prescribe medications.

What happens after I apply

After you submit your application, the Talkspace team will follow up with next steps. As you begin providing services on the platform, you’ll have access to onboarding training, the Provider Help Center, and the Provider Support team for additional assistance.
