Find a Provider Using the Talkspace Directory

Whether you're new to Talkspace or thinking about changing providers, our directory makes it easy to explore your options and find the right fit.

IMPORTANT:

Our directory is designed with starting Talkspace using insurance benefits in mind:

  • If you're signing up for Talkspace Therapy or Psychiatry using insurance, you may be able to choose a provider and book a session with them directly from our directory.
  • If you're already a Talkspace member or using a different benefit or payment method, you can still browse providers—but to request a match, you'll need to contact Support with your top choices.

To browse providers:

  1. Visit talkspace.com/therapists.
  2. Use the filters to search by your state, specialty types, and/or insurance.
    • Note: Be sure to select your current state of residence — we're legally required to match you only with providers who are licensed to practice in your state.
  3. Click Find care to view results.
  4. On the results page, you can also filter by:
    • Providers who offer care to your age group (e.g., Adult or Teens (13-17))
    • Specific service type (e.g., Talk therapy or Medication management).
  5. Review provider profiles to learn more about their background, approach, and specialties.
Tip: Look for the “Accepting new clients” label on provider profiles, it means the provider currently has availability and is able to start sessions with you soon!

What happens next?

After you browse the provider directory and find someone you'd like to work with, select the option below that applies to you for next steps:

I don't have a Talkspace account yet and plan to use insurance
  1. Click "Book session" from the profile of the provider you'd like to work with.
  2. You'll be asked about your desired service (e.g., Therapy, Psychiatry), insurance plan details, health and medical history, and account creation information.
  3. During the sign up and onboarding process above:
    • If your selected provider is available, you'll be asked to book a session with them.
    • If your selected provider is not available, you'll be asked a few questions to help us find providers to match you with.
I'm already a Talkspace member or using a different benefit/payment method
  1. Reach out to our Support team with the first and last names of 3–4 providers you'd like to work with.
  2. We'll do our best to match you to one of the providers you've chosen!
NOTE: While we do our best to honor provider requests, availability can be limited based on licensing restrictions and insurance limitations.
For Current Talkspace Members: Keep in mind, you can switch to a new provider at any time directly from your account. Learn how in our guide: Change Provider.
