Can I Add My Teen to My Existing Talkspace Account?

Every Talkspace member needs their own individual account to ensure privacy and security, accurate billing, and proper medical record management. Because of this, parents and guardians can't add a teen (ages 13–17) to an existing Talkspace account.

If you accidentally created an account for yourself instead of your teen, it can’t be converted into a parent/guardian or teen account. Your teen will need a new account created with their information and a separate email, since an email address can’t be used for more than one Talkspace account.

When creating their own separate account, teens need to enter:

  • Their first and last name
  • Their personal email address
  • Their date of birth

If you have a health plan or workplace benefit that includes dependent coverage, your teen will still need to create their own Talkspace account using their information. During sign-up, they’ll have an opportunity to share benefit information so we can verify that they’re covered as a dependent.
