Does Talkspace Accept Supplemental or Secondary Insurance?

Whether Talkspace accepts supplemental or secondary insurance depends on your primary health insurance type: Medicare or private/ employer-sponsored insurance

NOTE: Primary insurance is the main insurance plan that pays for your healthcare costs if you have multiple insurance policies. If you’re unsure which plan is primary, check with your insurance provider.
Primary Insurance is Medicare
If your primary insurance is Medicare, refer to our guide, Understanding Medicare at Talkspace to learn more about how we handle supplemental or secondary insurance for Medicare recipients.
Primary Insurance is Private or Employer-sponsored
If your primary insurance is private or employer-sponsored, your supplemental or secondary insurance cannot be added to your Talkspace account. However, you can submit a superbill to your secondary or supplemental insurance for potential reimbursement.
  • Secondary insurance is an additional health plan that pays for remaining costs (like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles) after your primary insurance has processed the claim.
  • Supplemental insurance typically adds coverage for services not included in your primary plan, such as dental, vision, and hearing.
