To protect your privacy and ensure HIPAA compliance, all communication with your Talkspace provider must take place on the Talkspace platform. We don't support outside calls or sessions through personal phone numbers, Skype, FaceTime, Google Hangouts, Zoom, or other third-party services.
With a Talkspace account, you can connect with your provider on the platform in the following ways, depending on your specific plan:
- Send messages to your provider: Send text, audio, video, and picture messages in your private therapy room.
- Join live sessions: Connect with your provider in real time on Talkspace via chat, audio, or video—depending on your plan and preference. If you prefer not to be on camera, choose live chat or audio, or simply keep your camera off during a video session. You can also turn your camera on at any time during an audio session. This flexibility lets you connect in the way that feels most comfortable for you.
