If your plan includes live sessions, you can connect with your provider in real-time. When scheduling, you may have the option to choose between live video, audio, or chat, depending on what’s included in your plan.
NOTE: Our Support team can’t book, reschedule, or cancel your sessions. To make or change an appointment, please follow the steps below or contact your provider directly.
How do I schedule a live session?
To schedule a live session:
- Log in at www.talkspace.com or on the Talkspace app.
- Click on Schedule (
) in the navigation bar (usually on the left or bottom of the screen).
- Click on Book or start a session.
- Choose a provider or room.
- Click Continue.
- If you don't have any remaining session credits, you may have the option to buy one depending on your plan.
- Choose the session type (video, audio, chat), length, date, and time.
- If you can't find a suitable time, select "I can't find a time that works for me" to share your availability with your provider.
- Review the cancellation policy and click Book session to confirm.
- Consider adding the booking to your personal calendar (Google, Apple, and/or Outlook).
Once booked, your therapist will need to confirm their availability for the session.
If your therapist doesn't confirm or misses the session, you won't be charged. You can simply rebook at your convenience.
If you need to make any changes, please make sure to do so at least 24 hours before your session to avoid any late cancellation fees or loss of session credits.
Before your session begins:
- Make sure to enable your device's camera and microphone permission for Talkspace.
- About 10 minutes before your session starts, you’ll see a “Join Session” button in your room. Click it to join.
How do I reschedule or cancel a live session?
NOTE: Changing or canceling an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice could result in a fee or the loss of a session credit.
To reschedule or cancel a live session:
- Log in at www.talkspace.com or on the Talkspace app.
- Click on Schedule (
) in the navigation bar (usually on the left or bottom of the screen).
- Find the live session you want to reschedule or cancel.
- To Reschedule: Click Reschedule, select a new date and time for the session, and click Confirm rescheduling.
- To Cancel: Click Cancel session, select a reason for canceling, and click Cancel session to confirm cancellation.
