If your plan includes live sessions, you can connect with your provider in real-time. When scheduling, you may have the option to choose between live video, audio, or chat, depending on what’s included in your plan.
For Couples Therapy, only the person who created the Couples Therapy room can schedule a live session. Be sure to coordinate with each other to find a time that works for both of you.
To schedule a live session:
- Log in at www.talkspace.com or on the Talkspace app.
- Click on Schedule (
) in the navigation bar (usually on the left or bottom of the screen).
- Click on Book or start a session.
- Choose a provider or room.
- Click Continue.
- If you don't have any session credits, you’ll have the option to buy one if your plan allows it.
- Choose the session type (video, audio, chat), length, date, and time.
- If you can't find a suitable time, select "I can't find a time that works for me" to share your availability with your provider.
- Review the cancellation policy and click Book session to confirm.
- Consider adding the booking to your personal calendar (Google, Apple, and/or Outlook).
You can find all your booked live sessions in the Schedule () menu in the navigation bar. After you book a session, your provider will need to confirm the date and time. Once your provider confirms, you’ll receive a confirmation message in your chat room (similar to the example below) as well as an email with the subject line: "Your session is confirmed! Mark your calendar."

NOTE: If you need to make any changes to your appointment, please make sure to do so at least 24 hours before your session to avoid any late cancellation fees or loss of session credits.
To reschedule or cancel a live session:
- Log in at www.talkspace.com or on the Talkspace app.
- Click on Schedule (
) in the navigation bar (usually on the left or bottom of the screen).
- Find the live session you want to reschedule or cancel.
- To Reschedule: Click Reschedule, select a new date and time for the session, and click Confirm rescheduling.
- To Cancel: Click Cancel session, select a reason for canceling, and click Cancel session to confirm cancellation.
