Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your Talkspace plan at any time. After cancellation, you’ll still be able to access your therapy room to view past messages.
If you need a temporary break from therapy and you pay out of pocket, you have the option to pause your plan instead of canceling. If you’d like to extend your pause beyond the initial period, you can unpause your plan and then set a new pause for another seven (7) days through your account settings.
However, if your plan is through insurance benefits, EAP benefits, employer/school/city-sponsored benefits, or if you have a psychiatry plan, pausing is not supported for these types of plans.
To learn how to cancel or pause your plan (if pausing is available), please log in to your account and access the article for your plan type below:

Refund Policy
Similar to visiting a physician's office, our providers are compensated for their time. Because of this, Talkspace is not able to grant refunds for services rendered, including fees associated with, but not limited to:
- Subscription costs.
- Add-on session costs.
- Copays and any remaining balances after a member’s insurance has processed a claim.
- Live sessions canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice.
- Missed or no-show live sessions.
If you’re not sure why your card was charged, or if you’re not the one receiving services, check with your family members to see if they used your card. They can review the transaction history in their Talkspace account to see if it matches the charges on your card.
For more information on why you might be charged when using Talkspace, visit: Charge Explanation.
When refund may be granted?
We’re dedicated to providing all of our members with the best possible experience. As part of this, our Support team can evaluate a request for a refund if it’s received within 90 days of the charge’s posting date to your bank or credit card statement. While refunds aren't guaranteed, we’ll work closely with you to address any concerns and find a satisfactory resolution.
If you're eligible for a refund:
- Refunds are usually processed within 3–5 business days, but the exact timing depends on your bank.
- The refund will be returned to your original payment method. We can't refund and rebill a charge to a different payment method, but you can update your payment information for future charges.
We value and appreciate your feedback. If there’s anything we can do to improve your experience at Talkspace, please let us know by sending in a Support request.
